Important Information to Consider
Please review the information below before placing your order to ensure it is processed and priced accurately.
When printing filaments that change color based on consumption, smaller prints may not use enough material to make the transition in color. In some cases, this can be overcome by printing multiple pieces, and the cost will be adjusted accordingly based on print time and material consumption.
Anything ordered in a different material (not color) than stated in the product description is subject to price change based on print time. For example, if the product is normally printed in PLA and you would like it printed out of ASA, the cost will most likely be about 50% greater due to the significantly longer print time. If you would still like to print the product out of a different material, please refer to the Custom Order page.
Any multicolor filaments will be multicolored as stated, but the placement of colors is not controllable. If you would like a multicolored print, it is possible and can be achieved a couple of ways using multiple spools of solid colors. Most commonly by printing the product in multiple pieces and assembling, or changing spools of materials during the print. Please refer to the custom print quote page if this is desired.
The colors of filament listed are what I normally use and are kept in stock as long as offered by the manufacturer. I try to stick with the same manufactures because colors vary slightly from different brands. If the color you desire is not listed, please feel free to send an email stating what you would like to print with a link to show what color/ colors you desire. Depending on the size and quantity of the part, a full 1kg spool or a smaller 200g spool of material can be purchased. Please understand that sometimes 200g spools are not offered. If consumption of at least 80% of the spool is to be used for the project, there will be no extra charge for the custom color.
Para Precision Printing & Prototyping is capable of printing almost all materials offered for FDM printing. If the type of material you would like printed is not listed, it is most likely because I do not use it often and I do not keep it in stock. I would like to keep all materials in stock, but they do tend to become brittle over time even stored in vacuum sealed bags with silica packs.
